School Garden Coordinator for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
Claudio Rodriguez is a migrant raised in Tucson. He grew up in gangs and witnesses the devastating effects of poverty, violence and systematic oppression. Through the local neighborhood collective, Tierra y Libertad, interested in community transformation, he gained skills in community building and organizing with a focus on accessibility to healthy food and environmental and food justice. With ten years of experience growing food and community organizing, he has developed leaders that can take charge of controlling their own narrative for their community. Claudio is School Garden Coordinator for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. He teaches gardening workshops, building community and gardens and mentors students, interns and teachers.
