Outcomes

Since its inception in 2015, the Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice has supported over 25 team projects and individuals for $8,395, 690 in awards.

Through a competitive grantmaking program, the Haury Program funds teams of University and community partners in project-based work. Four levels of competitive funding, seed, challenge, faculty fellowships, and visiting associateships, have contributed to the construction of a social fabric based on justice and capable of meeting environmental challenges.

Projects funded by the Haury Program focus on finding innovative solutions for problems in the intersection of environment and social justice. Topics include climate change, water-use/scarcity, biodiversity loss, land-use change, and pollution, as well as education, social equity, voice, food, resilience, health, energy, and gender equity.

There are many outcomes to these grants and awards. We're pleased to share some of those stories below. Also, you can find useful resources developed by Haury awardees.
