Nancy joined the Agnese Nelms Haury Program for the Environment and Social Justice in April 2015. She comes to the program with 25 years experience in the environmental field in areas of public outreach and education, landfill development, operations and engineering, brownfields redevelopment, groundwater assessment and remediation, environmental assessments, reclaimed water use, recycling programs, household and small business hazardous waste management, and environmental management systems. She most recently was the deputy director of Tucson's Environmental Services Department. She serves on the Arizona State Water Quality Assurance Revolving Load Fund Board and also served on the Arizona Board of Directors for the Solid Waste Association of America. She is a registered geologist in Arizona and holds Manager of Landfill Operations and Manager of Recycling Systems national certifications.
