The Agnese Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice (Haury Program) has mobilized to link arms with University and community members seeking to infuse resources and creative energy into immediate responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In that spirit, we have contributed $10,000 to a team of UArizona engineering and health sciences researchers in order to produce critically needed protective masks for front line health care workers. The team will design, 3D print and test the masks. Please see https://uanews.arizona.edu/story/uarizona-team-3d-print-medical-masks-banner to learn more or to donate to this work.

Please join us as we seek to find ways to mitigate, to stop, and to prevent in the future the threats to human life and well-being that viruses and other perils may cause.

This is a call to the community -- the best and only way to pursue a safer and sustainable Earth. We hear the call and are responding. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more information about this and other news.
