 We believe the Southwest could become a hub of innovative ideas that result in environmental solutions and social transformation.

We believe that improving the lives of underserved and underrepresented groups, especially Indigenous and Hispanic populations of the Southwest, will create communities that are resilient in the face of environmental and social justice challenges.

Founding Director Dr. Anna Spitz led the Agnese Nelms Haury Program from 2014 through 2019.
